Meet Team Building Event Planner, Dana

In this series of articles we take five minutes to chat with a member of the TeamBonding team so you can get an idea of the sort of people we are.

In this installment we talk to Dana, one of our team building event planning gurus, about building teamwork, meeting the goals of the company and her greatest fears…

How long have you been with TeamBonding?

I have been with TeamBonding for a little over 6 months now. Each day is a new experience dealing with all aspects of an event – from staffing to speaking with clients!

What got you started in Event Management?

I first realized I wanted to be in events going into my Junior year of college. I worked for the summer as a Student Adviser for Summer Orientation at BU and loved the amazing feedback I got from my students – it was an incredible feeling knowing that I was able to help make their transition to college a positive one. Each session was an event in and of itself and I realized then that I thrive off great feedback, which is something we strive to achieve daily here at TB.

Do you have any fears?

I have an incredibly irrational fear of – wait for it – mascots. Yes, you read that correctly. Wally the Green Monster, Blades, Rhett the BU Terrier…all of them. I’m not sure what it is that scares me so much, but I shake with fear if they come too close. No joke.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I love cooking and baking, catching up on the TV shows that I inevitably miss during the week, spending time with my friends around the great city of Boston, volunteering whenever I can, and trying new restaurants. I also enjoying going home to visit my family – they are a huge part of my life and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them!

team building event plannerWhat is your favorite place in the world to be?

On the beach, hands down, and it’s funny because I live in New England so we only get a few months of warm weather every year.

But I squeeze every minute of beach time I can out of those amazing summer months!
